CM assures Hazaras of enhanced security

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has assured the Shia Hazara community that his government will fulfill its responsibility to protect their lives and property and eradicate terrorism.

The chief minister went to the Hazara Town on Tuesday and offered condolences to families of the victims of the suicide attack on Sunday which claimed lives of 30 people. Talking to members of the grieving families, Dr Baloch regretted over the tragic incident and said the government was preparing a comprehensive strategy to stop the attacks.

Dr Baloch termed the Hazara Town suicide bombing an inhuman act and attack on the whole of Balochistan.

“The Shia Hazara community should not consider itself alone and helpless,” Dr Baloch said. He said it was the responsibility of the government to protect lives and property of the people and the government would fulfil its responsibilities in this regard. He appealed to all political forces to unite to fight acts of terrorism and assured all help and support to the victims’ families.
