ISLAMABAD, July 4: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Thursday announced the results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part I (class 9th) annual examination 2013 with the pass percentage of 61.09.

According to a Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education spokesman, 79,335 students had submitted forms and 78,565 of them appeared in the exams.

Out of them, 47,996 students were declared pass.

The exam was held between March 19 and April 18.

REGULAR STUDENTS: In the science group, out of the total 56,227 students (34,818 males and 21,409 females), 40,510 got through with the passing percentage of 72.05.

As many as 9,701 candidates appeared in the humanities group, including 7,798 females, and 4,572 of them passed the examination (47.13 per cent).

PRIVATE STUDENTS: In the science group, out of the 8,811 candidates, 2,264 were declared pass (27.70 per cent).

In the humanities group, 3,826 private students appeared in the exam and only 684 could get through with the pass percentage of 16.94.

Overall, 10,687 students failed in one subject, 6,692 in two subjects and 4,615 in three subjects.

During the exams, 22 cases of unfair means were reported and 16 of them have been decided.
