SUKKUR, July 5: Jeay Sindh Tehreek chairman Dr Safdar Sarki has said that the industry-rich Ghotki district is being ignored and deplored injustice to local people who according to him are not getting jobs in those industries.

Speaking at a press conference at the local press club on Friday, Dr Sarki said that seven days ago he started a march to demand jobs for the residents of Ghotki in established industries, which he said were hiring people from other provinces such as Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He warned that if locals were not given jobs within a month then the industries would be cordoned off.

One killed in road accident

A motorcyclist was killed and his companion was injured on Friday when they were hit by a fast-moving passenger coach on its way to Karachi from Sadiqabad on the National Highway near Mirpur Mathelo.

The victim, Abdul Karim Chachar, a resident of Gondko village had been travelling with his friend Abdul Razzake Chijjan, a resident of Mirpur Mathelo, when they were hit by the passenger coach.

Both were taken to the Mirpur Mathelo Civil Hospital.

The bus driver escaped while the vehicle was impounded by the Mirpur Mathelo police. No case was registered till Friday night.
