QUETTA, July 8: Four gunmen attacked three trailers carrying supplies for Nato forces in Afghanistan in Hazarganji area here on Monday and set them on fire.
The trailers, going to the border town of Chaman from Karachi, were parked at a terminal in Hazarganji at the Western Bypass at the time of the attack, police said.
“Four gunmen on two motorcycles arrived at the terminal and opened fire on the trailers, forcing the drivers to flee. The attackers then set the vehicles on fire,” police said.
Flames and smoke billowing from the trailers could be seen from distant areas.
The trailers were gutted before fire tenders reached there.
The Hazarganji police have registered a case against unidentified suspects and launched an investigation into the incident.
