KARACHI, July 9: Nearly 3,000 new cases of diarrhoea were reported across the province on Tuesday, a Sindh government official said.

Of the 2,958 patients of diarrhoea reported at hospitals in a single day, 457 were admitted while the remaining patients were released after being provided treatment, according to an additional director of diarrhoeal disease control (CDD) programme.

In July, as many as 20,845 diarrhoea cases have been reported in Sindh and 3,726 of the patients were admitted to hospitals.

The official said that no diarrhoea death case had been reported in July so far.—PPI
