These kind of news appear in Dawn almost everyday. One leader meeting the other. Governer meeting the Prime Minister. Law and Order situation discussed. Lets be honest and speak the truth at least. For a democratic leader, it is important to discuss the situation first with the people who voted for them. Pakistan has no law and order situation. Kindly abstain from using these words. Pakistan has lawlessness and disorderly situation. And you guys have no concrete plans. You do not know even your enemy. And you have no single enemy but a bunch of enemies.
Pakistan is not the only country that shares its borders with others. Many other countries that are landlocked have borders connected from all sides with other countries.
You have to control your border situation. And I know that 1600km border is not an easy task but again, how long is your border with India? Ask Indians how they control their borders and you can learn some lessons from them.
All your illegal and smuggled goods have been sold inside Pakistan for long, all coming through Afghanistan and your Police is taking bribe during the broad day light. For guns and arms and bombs, of course, they will charge more. Who is responsible for the border situation. 65 years after independance and no strategy at all. Stop the blame game and address the nation and tell them clearly you are at War. You cannot win this war without the help of your nation. So get them involved. I would suggest open a 24 hour channel that only deals with strategies and suggestions on how to control the situation in Pakistan. Involve all the youth, intelligencia, retired police and army officers, ISI, retired politicians. Before Pakistan becomes a History. China can be offered the control of border too. 1600km is not that big. There are plenty of solutions, only the Will to seriously implement those strategies is lacking. Open your eyes before it is too late.
