KARACHI: The Pakistan U-14 football team left for Iran to take part in the qualifiers for the inaugural AFC U-14 Championships on Sunday night.

Pakistan, who are placed in Group ‘D’, face Turkmenistan in their opening match on Wednesday which will be followed with a clash against Kyrgyzstan on Friday.

Their third match of the qualifiers is against India on Sunday with their final game coming against the hosts next Monday. The group winners advance to the finals which will be held in Uzbekistan next year.

Squad: Goal-keepers: Mudassar Younas, Mohammad Asad; Defenders: Uzair (captain), Adeel Ali, Attaullah, Saif Ali, Zubair Umer, Yasir, Shahzeb; Midfielders: Mohammad Saqib Javaid, Mohammad Riaz, Saqlain Tariq, Mohammad Ikhlas; Forwards: Mohammad Shahid, Shakeel Ahmed, Junaid Ahmed, Salman Khan, Habibullah, Sheiryar Lasi, Majeed Khan.
