SUKKUR, May 3: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) leader Shahzain Bugti has termed the detention of former president Pervez Musharraf ‘a drama’, saying that Baloch people cannot heave a sigh of relief until he is punished for the massacre of Nawab Akbar Bugti and many other Baloch people.

According to a press statement issued here on Friday, the JWP leader expressed the view while speaking to a group of journalists at the residence of PS-14 independent candidate Mir Raja Khan Jakhrani in Jacobabad on Friday.

Mr Bugti observed that bodies of missing Baloch people with marks of inhuman torture were still appearing on the streets of Balochistan and this was a matter of grave concern for the people of his province.

He claimed that Baloch candidates in Dera Bugti and certain other areas were not being allowed to run their election campaigns.

The Frontier Constabulary had occupied lands of local people in Dera Bugti on the pretext of safeguarding their life and property, he alleged.

He said his brother, Gohram Khan Bugti, intended to move the Supreme Court with plea to order postponement of election in that area.

Syed Mehtab Shah, Mir Saeed Khan Jakhrani, Mir Akhtar Khan Jakhrani and other political figures were also present.
