BAHAWALNAGAR, May 6: PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif has said the May 11 will prove a doomsday for Asif Ali Zardari and his party PPP.

Addressing a public gathering at Haroonabad on Monday, Shahbaz said the PML-N would rid the nation of vicious clutches of Zardari and his group.

He said the nation needed the prudent and far-sighted leadership of Nawaz Sharif and not the reckless and plunderer leader like Zardari.

The former chief minister alleged that Imran Khan was making futile attempts to save Zardari from the wrath of the people.

He said the PTI chief was making false promises of stopping drone attacks. Had Imran Khan been sincere in his claim, he would have never awarded the party ticket to former foreign minister Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri who allowed drone attacks during his ministry, he said.

He said a hidden relation had been established between the ‘bat’ and ‘arrow’ alleging that Imran Khan was working as the chief polling agent of the PPP.

“I have not distributed Kalashnikovs, but laptops among the youth and I will continue doing so after coming to power without taking care of worthless objections of leaderships of the PTI and the PPP,’ he said.

Shahbaz alleged that the PPP was spending the public money plundered during last five years on its fake election campaign. He reiterated his claim that he would end the power loadshedding in two years.

Shahbaz urged the people not to divide the Muslim League vote if they wanted to steer the country out of the darkness of ignorance and exploitation.

He reiterated that Ijazul Haq was not a candidate of the PML-N and that the people should be aware of the conspiracies of opponents.

PML-N chief Nawaz address was scheduled on Monday at Haroonabad, but he could not reach there for some unknown reason while Shahbaz arrived here at least six hours late.
