IN Hyderabad, a group of young mischievous boys, driving modified and altered motorbikes without silencers, reportedly gather at various public venues, mostly at petrol pumps, and seek adventure at night.

These adolescents create a raucousness by racing and showing stunts (one-wheel riding etc) which eventually causes someone to kick the bucket — mostly of pedestrians. The recent incident of a young fellow resident of Hyderabad who braces death during drag racing is an eye-opener for many stakeholders.

It is the parents who should keep a vigilant eye on their children. The youngsters have destroyed the serene and calm environment of the vicinity, while residents remain frustrated.

The authorities concerned should restore peace to the city.
