SHEIKHUPURA, July 11: A ruling party MPA allegedly tried to sexually assault a grade-16 veterinarian and also slapped her at his residence on Thursday.

Dr Sana approached MPA Arif Khan Sandhila and demanded that she be transferred at Ferozewattwan veterinary centre. The MPA informed the doctor that a grade-17 employee was eligible for the post and she did not qualify for it. The doctor insisted that the MPA should play a role in her transfer and the latter allegedly slapped her in a rush of blood. The doctor alleged that the MPA also tried to sexually harass her.

The MPA later held a press conference and denied the allegations. He said Dr Sana was just like his daughter and he could not even think of such an act. He said his political rivals had launched a smear campaign against him.
