HYDERABAD, July 15: Two armed robbers deprived a trader of Rs750,000 in a city area on Monday.

There were conflicting views about the total amount, as the victim claimed that Rs750,000 had been snatched, while the Market police said that the robbers took away only Rs250,000.

Market police SHO Wahid Bux Leghari said that a shopkeeper of Oderolal, Lachman Das, withdrew Rs500,000 from a bank branch and went to a cloth shop where two armed robbers riding a motorbike tried to snatch his cash.

He said that the victim threw the money and the robbers took away the cash. According to the SHO, the victim found his Rs250,000 on road. However, the victim told traders that he had total Rs1 million and Rs750,000 had been snatched.
