CHARSADDA, July 29: Petty feuds claimed four lives in separate incidents here, police said on Monday.

Gunmen shot dead a man named Zarnosh Khan outside his house in Amokhel area in the limits of Prang police station, said an official.

He said a case had been registered against Wajid Ali, Sharif Gul and Mehrab Ali on the complaint of the victim’s mother, and efforts started to arrest the accused.

Similarly, one Isa Khan shot dead his friend, Mohammad Jan over a minor dispute and then threw his body in the fields in Sherpao town, Umarzai police said.

Police registered a case on the complaint of Bismillah Jan, brother of the deceased, and started making efforts to arrest the accused.

In another incident in Tangi area, a man, Jan Bacha was killed while Hayatur Rehan and his son Sabir Rehman sustained injuries in exchange of fire over an old enmity. Police lodged FIR into the case and started investigations.

In Nisata area, one Mohammad Khan gunned down his brother, Ashraf Khan, over a petty issue.

Wife of the deceased reported to the police that her husband was gunned down over a water pump issue.

ROBBORIES: Unknown thieves in separate strikes stole 17 ceiling fans from a mosque, and gold ornaments and other valuables from two houses in the district on Monday.

Police said thieves entered the Ghazi Gul Baba mosque and took away 17 ceiling fans lying in a room.

Thieves also decamped with cash, gold ornaments and other valuables after breaking locks of two houses in Gedar Kallay during night time.

The people of Charsadda have urged the government to curb growing robbery incidents in the district.
