PESHAWAR: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a suspected “Punjabi Taliban” commander involved in Dera Ismail Khan jailbreak last week, DawnNews reported.
According to official sources, the suspected militant, identified as Mujahid Ahmed alias Faqeer Baba has been arrested in injured condition.
Pakistani Taliban insurgents had freed nearly 250 inmates, including 35 ‘high-profile militants’, during a brazen overnight attack on the central jail in Dera Ismail Khan on July 30.
The suspect has revealed that planning of the jailbreak was carried out in South Waziristan, said the sources. He has been taken to an undisclosed location for further interrogation, they added.

He has been caught only to get freed by another similar jail break by his other comrades. After all they too have to return the favour.

One thing more is that, why our government doesn't show faces of the militants captured red-handed on media and then punish them within few days before media and common public so that this be an example for others. But unfortunately, situations here are totally different and no one knows who was captured and what was his punishment.

i would have to agree with junaid khan, i mean they catch these people their faces are covered with nice and clean piece of fabric and we never know who is behind that covered face. what happened to the people that were captured in chitral for killing the foreign climbers. some were arrested some werent. what happened to them. there is so much news everyday that they cant keep track of all thats going on. and it is always negative news. whenever you hear the word pakistan in news you prey please god let it be some good news, but its always bad, negative distasteful news presented in distasteful manner. what happened to us? we were not like that. we were good people, we bought japanese electronics anything else was just not acceptable to us we could afford it. now the chinese makes the worst kind labeled for pakistan. our opponenets in cricket were afraid of our team but i guess that was before waseem akram started taking money to fix matches and now he sells some detergent and people buy that detergent they forget what he did in the world cup, whenever i see this man i turn off the tv, there is nothing worst he can do to us then distances us from our favorite game. and why would any pakistani company pay this man for anything amazes me. what happened to jahangir khan and jansher khan? they were good guys, why dont we celebrate them. why do we spend all that advertising money on just one sport, cricket. we won more medals in wrestling then cricket and squash. why are we so corrupt. why cant we stand in lines at the airport, why our trains are always late. why being honest in pakistan a problem, why our children tell us to cheat to thief. why we dont have any respect for us and the people around us.
