KARACHI, Aug 19: Four young men were shot dead in Karachi on Monday night in apparent acts of targeted killing, according to officials.

Police said it appeared that three men were kidnapped, killed somewhere, and later their bodies with hands and legs tied were thrown near Old Thana in Memon Goth and Shah Latif areas of Malir.

“Circumstantial evidence suggests that the suspects threw bullet-riddled bodies there after killing them somewhere else,” DIG East Tahir Naveed said.

SHO Memon Goth Rao Khalid said one victim had been identified with the help of his identity card as Hussain, a resident of Steel Town.

The bodies were shifted to the JPMC.

Meanwhile, gunmen intercepted a motorcycle-rickshaw near Islam Chowk in Orangi, forced him to disembark and pumped four bullets into his body, said SHO Pakistan Bazaar Bashir Ahmed.

He said the victim was in his early 20s.
