Five men gang-raped a female photographer in India's financial hub Mumbai, fuelling protests and stirring memories of a similar attack last December in New Delhi. The attack took place on August 22 in an upmarket district of central Mumbai as the 23-year-old woman and a male colleague were taking photos of old buildings for a magazine. The pair were approached by members of the gang and told they should not be there. The man was then tied up with a belt while the woman was raped repeatedly nearby, Mumbai's police commissioner Satyapal Singh told reporters.

Now good question is that when are Pakistanis going to stand up for rampant sexual abuse in our society?

Dear Brother / Sisters
If you regularly review the news from India, you will noticed that , Rape cases have increased there.The question is Why , there is an increasing trend?.In my opinion , Flim Media is reponsible for the same, because the they are showing nudity in there films, lots of item songs igniting the inside evil of the man , now they masses have reached at a level where they are not able to control themselves.
Creator of universe Allah(Suhanhu Talla) knows very well the weakness existed in the human being nature.Therefore Allah(Suhanhu Talla) advices in Quarn to keep your eyes dawn and donot see the Women who is not Mehram, at the same time advises women to cover themselves and dont come infront of strange man, unless u are completely covered through veil.Furhter Allah Subhanahu Tala announses sever punishment for Rapist.
Know the time has come people should think over about the principles of islam and paractice the same the in their lives.
Allah Subhanhu Tala SUBKO Hidayat Nasib Farmai.

@Kamran :
Your logic is of films inciting rapes is totally baseless. Rapes happened even before that. It's just that the victims are coming forward and registring the case, the media is highlighting it and people are supporting the cause.
Do adjustment w.r.t. to the growth in population and you would get some clear picture.
Also dear friend our faith in religion should be limited to personal level, social evils have to dealt with logic and not faith.

The protest about Mumbai rape would be curbed by ConAngrez and their masters outside India. The reason is, it is Gang of illegal immigrants who raped the poor Hindu girl.
Bollywood item songs are promoted by criminals and crooks, the way narcotics are pushed on India. The native culture of treating each being with Namaste (the God which resides in me also resides in you and I bow to you) and the culture which makes each family to have a Kul Devta (female Deity) is being attacked by the marauders, rapist and consumerist.

There are approximately 3 rapes committed every hour in India. Why is it that only 2 rapes have made headlines and protests in the last 6 months? and those two of two educated women. Sad as these two incidences were, one has to ask what about the thousands of other "poor" uneducated women who are raped? Why don't Indians protest the rapes of those poor uneducated women?

Rape is understood in historical, cultural, spiritual (religious) context. The most number of reported rapes happened in South Africa, 150+ per 100,000 population in 2009. For the same year the figures were 0.8, 1.7, 2.3, 2.1, 25 and 27 for Hindu Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, USA and UK respectively.
Wonder why Hindu Nepali do less rapes. Mind also that in Islamic countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh the burden of conviction is on the victim - if she fails to bring four male witnesses (how can she make the rapists themselves be witness?) then she might be stoned to death.
Rape or sexual violence has more to do with culture. In Bedouin barbaric culture women were considered property, so even marriage did not have divine sanction - Nikah is merely a contract. Rape also has more to do with male becoming rootless and confused. Abrahamic religions (Christianity with one Pope, Islam with in Kremlin, and extreme capitalism with one currency) have vested interest in making the natives of distant land rootless. Such rootless confused powerless male then takes out his frustration and anger on the harmless weak fairer sex. Few centuries back such men were used as cannon fodders in imperiast's wars and were provided native women as war booties.
