LAHORE, Aug 24: Chief Secretary Javed Aslam on Saturday ordered the authorities concerned to sternly deal with those resorting to violence in Bhakkar.

He gave the direction while presiding over a meeting which was attended by police inspector general, secretaries of the home, information and Auqaf departments and other senior officials.

The chief secretary said lawlessness would not be tolerated in the province. He said nobody found involved in any kind of terrorism would be spared. He directed the administration to take stern action against the elements taking law in their own hand.

The meeting decided that curfew would remain imposed till the situation got under control in Bhakkar.
