NEW DELHI: There will be no Pakistani participation in the Champions League T20 after the Indian government refused to grant visas to the Faisalabad Wolves citing 'safety and security' concerns, the Times of India reported.
"As a matter of abundance precaution and caution in terms of safety and security, the government did not give green signal for the cricket team's visit," Times of India reported government sources as saying.
The Faisalabad team, led by Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq, was invited to play in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League T20 in India, starting on September 17.

At one side they are providing security to many other foreign teams like from Australia, England, South Africa etc. and on the other side they are saying they cannot provide security to Pakistan team only. If they cannot provide security to teams, why they are arranging these type of tournaments in India and why ICC is silent on this issue like always??? It means providing security is not the issue, they actual have problem with Pakistan only. It is very clear but i do not know why the Pakistani govt (politicians especially) are unable to see this fact. Whatever India does with Pakistan they are ready to ignore it and are always eager to grant MFN to India. :(

It is unfortunate that the secular government of such a big country is unable to ensure the safety of sportsmen, It also shows that India is a dangerous country for Pakistani citizens.

its pure jealousy nothing else, BCCI and Indian Govt is full of anti pakistanis, the reason Inida is doing good in international cricket because they are ignoring to play against Pakistan, they have very poor record against pakistan in both tests and Odis, well I was looking forward to watch Faislabad playing in this tournament, alas India is too scared to see Faisalbad in action and even beating their IPL teams, shame shame shame......

@Fahad Naeem:
The way Pakistanis will always remain Pakistanis. Let the Indians remain Indians.
We failed to provide security to Sri Lankan team. If a state feels they cannot provide security
to Pakistanis then let it be. We have always considered India as our top enemy so why expect India not to treat us the same way? Those questioning about giving MFN status to India should go ahead and ask India to cancel the MFN status it gave to Pakistan several years ago.

Why are we over sentimental about the refusal of visas to Pakistani players, How long should we take or need to understand the hidden hate. Why are Pakistanis dying to play with india or in india. I for one do not find an atom of interest in indian cricket be it any PL. just forget about playing in india,ignore them and put them where they belong

I believe ,India reserves the right to allow or disallow any nation's cricket team to play on indian soil. It totally depends upon the circumstances and the wave of current indian sentiments towards that country.
Given the misdeeds on the part of pakistani army recently, indian public wont enjoy seeing a team from a country whose army has made a habit of breaking trust by resorting to such lows.
As a true cricket fan and an patriot, i personally do not care if any pakistani team is missing the CLT 20 tournament.And i am confident that it wont matter to a great extent to other compatriots as well.

@mehboob malik: few things should be made clear here for u pakistanis
01. India has already given u MFN status. ye hamari dildari hai. jabki tumlogo ko MFN dene me itni pareshani hai.
02. Its our domestic event not of ICC. so dont cry foul.
03. We indian never ever think of even visiting pakistan for our commercial issues or bread and butter.id ONLYYYY pakistanis who are dieing to come here. look at ur ur actors, vricketers and workers etc. have u ever heard of any indian going to pakistan for any of his purpose.
Learn a fact from this - BEGGERS ARE NOT SEEKERS.
