KARACHI, Sept 11: The quartet of Mohammad Ahmed, Bilal Imran, Reyyan Jawad and Noman Aftab completed semi-final lineup in the Sindh ranking tennis championship at Karachi Gymkhana courts on Wednesday.

While Ahmed, Bilal and Reyyan won their matches straight, Noman was stretched to limits by Ebad Ahmed before returning 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 victorious.

Results: Men’s singles: Second round: Manzar bt Fahim Ramzan 4-1 (retired; Abdul Rehman bt Bilal Soomro 6-3, 6-2.

Juniors’ under-17 singles: First round: Shabbir Mohammad bt Adnan Tufail 6-4, 6-1.

Second round: Ibrahim Iltifat bt Mohammad Bilal (walkover); Dawer Rehan bt Shabbir Mohammad 6-2, 6-2.

Under-13 singles: Second round: Mohammad Ahmed bt Asheesh Kumar 6-2, 6-2; Bilal Imran bt Rida Khan 6-3, 6-0; Amin Shafi bt Shazil Malik 7-5, 6-1; Ibrahim Khan bt Sohail Fayyaz 6-3, 3-6, 10-8; Noman Aftab bt Abdullah Khan 6-1, 6-2.

Quarter-finals: Mohammad Ahmed bt Amin Shafi 6-4, 6-0; Bilal Imran bt Osama Khan 6-3, 7-5; Reyyan Jawad bt Ibrahim Khan 6-1, 6-1; Noman Aftab bt Ebad Ahmed 6-4, 3-6, 10-4.

Under-11 singles: First round: Abdullah Khan bt Arham 3-2 (retired); Ibrahim Khan bt Ali Junaid 8-0; Reyyan Jawad bt Sain Danish 8-3; Mohammad Dada bt Rida Khan 8-0; Amin Shafi bt Abdullah 8-2.
