QUETTA, Sept 18: Two people were gunned down in Zarghoon road area on Wednesday in what police suspected to be a case of targeted killing on sectarian grounds.

Police said gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on Bunied Ali and Mohammad Hayat when they were passing through the Zarghoon road. The two were seriously wounded and died while being taken to hospital.

“Bunied Ali suffered seven bullets,” hospital sources said.

Mohammad Hayat belongs to Bunnu. Police reached the scene of the crime and started investigation, sources said.

“It seems [to be a case of] targeted sectarian killing,” a police officer said.
