KARACHI, Sept 26: The Administrator of District Municipal Corporation (DMC) South Afzal Zaidi has ordered the uplift of the historic basketball court at the Arambagh during his visit to the venue here on Thursday.

Zaidi directed his staff to to ensure that the flood-lighting system and other facilities at the Arambagh court are upgraded at the earliest and announced that a DMC South Basketball Tournament will be staged at the venue in near future.

Zaidi said the DMC South takes a lot of pride in the fact that a number of national and international level sportspersons have emerged from this region and his office is working hard to provide the best environment for the upcoming athletes.

Zaidi was accompanied by Director Parks Qamar Masoodi, Director Sports Asif Azeem and others during the visit.—Agencies
