STUDENTS of the newly-established Benazir Bhutto University in Benazirabad spend a significant amount of time in the university doing nothing.

Classes are held from 8am to 4pm, including one-and-a-half hours of break. In other universities there is no such practice.

No doubt, the environment of the institution is suitable for students.

There is no student politics so far which is a good sign for getting quality education. However, the issue of time is crucial.

The administration should devise a schedule curtailing the time available for break. It will spare time of students to go home early as many girls find it inconvenient to leave at 4pm.

Moreover, one-and-a-half hours of break is not a rational step. In many professional universities, there is no break during classes.

Therefore, the administration of the university should ponder over the timetable.
