PIA for sure will loose more loyal frequent flyers with frequency of unfortunate incidents which are due to total lack of efficiency and who cares attitude.

Army of Jialas hired out of merit and above required capacity are finally taking PIA to its ultimate destination. Amazing stories are heard from PIA every week if not every day.

We get to hear stories related to PIA unheard of in other airlines. It is disturbing, it is humiliating and it is embarrassing. It is time that the government revamps the entire structure of PIA, the staff, the facilities the services included. Once known proudly across the globe as "Great people to fly with," it certainly has lived up to its motto. Ironically, today it stands for the possibilities of the unimaginable happening with PIA and indeed true to the saying "great people to fly with" an experience unlike on any other airline!

PIA had an excellent slogan 'better people to fly with' until 1960s and 1970s - now at present time PIA slogan should be 'risky people to fly with'

PIA is a sinking titanic. The only chance of its survival is in selling it to the private party.

@vigilant:
Planes catching fire is mainly due to the engineering fault. It has nothing to do with the Pilots.
Sorry to say but your sense of vigilancy is far too low.

Planes catching fire is disastrous. It was mainly an engineering fault. I admit that our national flag carrier is slipping down but these types of incidents happened to many airliners across the world. Only in july 2013, am Ethopian Airline - Boeing Dreamliner 787 caught fire in its engine at Heathrow. And on May 2013, a British Airline aircraft caught fire and made an emergency landing.
There are many more incidents related to 'Engine catching fire' happen around the world.
My sincere advice to my fellow Pakistanis, please think twice before opening your mouth. Nowadays, situation in Pakistan is worse and financial losses for almost all of our institutions and organizations are piling up. But one thing is sure, with your nonsense rants we aren't getting any better soon.
At the end, thanks to Almighty for saving the lives of the people on-board and praise to Captain Jarrar and his crew for tackling the situation in they best way it can be possible.

I see all people talking about PIA having financial losses and PIA going down the drain if you were to talk about PIA please check the history of PIA plane crashes or PIA saftey hazard you will find the least amount of cases possible, other major international airlines have more air crash histories than PIA.
PIA going in financial losses is not because of government its because of us people how many times have you seen people protesting wrong doings in any government institutions? Block Facebook and people will be on the road protesting but when it comes to auditing our national assets people are least bothered and that gives chances to corrupt people to run their feudal show.
We need to wake up as a nation to improve even ALLAH SWT does not change the luck of a nation which is not willing to change themselves.
