KARACHI: A case was registered at Karachi’s Shahrah-i-Noor Jehan Police Station Saturday against an unknown person for allegedly raping a 15-year-old college girl, DawnNews reported.
Earlier on October 11, the girl had left for her college by a rickshaw in the limits of Taimuria police of District Central. However, she was allegedly intoxicated and taken away by the rickshaw driver.
According to sources, she was found in an unconscious condition at a place in Phase-I of DHA at night.
She was shifted to Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre where doctors said she had been raped.
The FIR was registered today against an unknown person on a complaint lodged by the victim’s uncle.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the rape 12 hours after the incident occurred and ordered immediate arrest of the suspect.
The Sindh CM moreover sought a report of the incident from the police.
