just a daughter.

I don't know why but this article bought tears to my eyes, esp the old gentleman with 6 daughters, who at the age of 65 is still working... maybe because I too, belong to a family of 6 sister Masha'Allah..... except the eldest one All of us are single, either employed or studying yet, at times I wonder what my parents will do once we all get married.
I dread even at the thought of leaving them in a country like Pakistan that hardly spares the brave and the young.
Sure, old age problems are global but they are more so, in acute form in a tremendously uneducated, regressive and male dominated society of India and Pakistan where females are not allowed to work and hence, people aspire to have male children, who they presume, and rightfully so ( in a pathetic society) will look after them in their old age.
My deepest fear for my parents as such would be the deplorably low situation of health care back home. I quake with fear, of not having good medical connections in a city like Karachi and, ending up in the hands of a bunch of merciless quacks. If not for the Drs then, expired medicines.

Please, amend Richard hardick (San Diego) and Amadou Mbaye (Senegal) text, they are same. An eye opener for youngsters and thank you #AP for sharing it with us.
