Rangers arrest 16 more in Karachi targeted operation

KARACHI: Rangers forces claim to have arrested another 16 alleged criminals in Karachi in targeted operations conducted on Wednesday.

According to DawnNews, the paramilitary personnel carried out raids in Bilal Colony, Landhi, Liaquatabad, Jackson, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Clifton and other areas during the first day of Eidul Azha.

DG Rangers Maj Gen Rizwan Akhtar also inspected security arrangements in sensitive areas of the metropolis.

According to reports, police in the south zone has also arrested 41 suspected criminals, including 14 escaped convicts, in raids carried out during the past 24 hours.

Police claim to have also recovered five pistols, two rifles and three hand grenades as well as narcotics from the arrested suspects.
