LAHORE, Oct 25: Pakistan Handball Federation (PHF) president Mohammad Shafiq was elected secretary-general of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) during elections held on Friday in Doha, Qatar.

According to the information received here, president of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah of Kuwait, was elected as AHF president.

Sheikh Ahmad is a renowned figure in international sports as he has also been holding the post of OCA president since 1991. Shafiq is also Director Sports of the Agricultural University, Faisalabad.
