LAHORE, Oct 26: A 30-year-old woman died of dengue fever in the city on Saturday.

Identified as Arooj Kamran of Shadbagh, the woman succumbed to the disease at the CMH three weeks ago but the hospital administration reported the case to the health department on Saturday.

An official said the diagnostic investigations carried out by the CMH doctors took time to confirm the cause of death. He called it the first dengue-related death in Lahore this year.

The official further said 30 more confirmed cases of dengue surfaced across the province on Saturday.

He said the total number of dengue cases in Punjab had reached 715.
