LAHORE, Oct 28: Elections in 13 districts of Punjab and Sindh under the supervision of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Election Commissioner have been completed smoothly, according to Punjab coordinator Olympian Nasir Ali.

In the first phase, the elections at the district level of two provinces Punjab and Sindh are in progress, while in the second phase will see elections being held in Balochistan from Nov 4 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Nov 8.

Nasir says the elections of all the two phases will be completed by Nov 15.

“Elections in 11 districts of Punjab were held smoothly and there was no untoward incident,” he said. “The districts where the elections have been completed are Rawalpindi, Attock, Rajanpur, Khushab, Dera Ghazi Khan, Mianwali, Bhakhar, Layyah, Muzaffar Garh, Jhelum and Chakwal.”

In Sindh, the elections have been completed in Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad.

The all-important elections of the Lahore District will be held on Nov 15, the last day of the district level elections. —Sports Reporter
