THIS refers to the news item ‘CSS exams’ (Oct 21).The writer has correctly pleaded to accommodate the remaining CSS 2012 successful candidates who could not be allocated to any of the groups.

Many candidates have been continuously writing on this issue but to no avail. The government is so indifferent on this important matter. These candidates have prepared for the CSS exam for many years. On one hand, people are appointed politically and on the other, people who have passed the CSS exam were not allocated to any of the groups.

The CSS-2012 successful candidates should be accommodated in some group or at least they should be given jobs in the federal departments.

Passing the CSS exam is not an easy task. Many seats were lying vacant after the Supreme Court gave an order to the Establishment Division to dismiss people who had been appointed politically in the CSS cadres during the last PPP led coalition government. There are only 550 candidates who have not been allocated to any group and there are around 1000 seats lying vacant all over Pakistan. When seats are lying vacant, why is the government not accommodating the remaining candidates?

I urge the Chief Justice to take suo motu notice on this important matter and provide us justice.
