This was not my first such experience but it was the first when I manage to spearhead into the buffet and the first when I wasted this much and pondered upon so many of the poor chickens raised for the day, cooked, transported and then wasted. The work, the money and the energy could have been used elsewhere, maybe even the food too.
Perhaps we just need to realise we can do with less. Next time, taking from the buffet I’ll keep in mind what Quaid-e-Azam once said “Eat to live not, live to eat”.

Yup...
So true for India too....
Leave the shaadi scenario... i have been to high technology conferences in india where the crowd is generally pulled from upper middle class (Engineers, Project Managers, Program Managers) drawing atleast or more than 50K INR per month. But i find the mess they create unbelievable, some of them go to an extent that they go around trying to sniff out lunch menu before the buffet has been opened to them.
As a participant/organizer its embarrassing to see this especially in front of the speakers who generally hail from foreign countries. Adding salt to injury the five star hotel staff looks at us with utter pity.
