LARKANA, June 6: The medical superintendent of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, on Thursday sought security for four traumatized Shahani tribesmen at present admitted to the psychiatry ward of the hospital.

Two of them, Ali Bakhsh, 90, and Panjal Shahani, 90, are fathers of Dilmurad and Rajib Shahani recently killed by Chandio tribesmen for their alleged involvement in the murder of Nawabzada Ali Nawaz Chandio, the chieftain of Chandio tribe.

The bodies of Dilmurad and Rajab were buried in Kambar town as unclaimed.

The MS Dr Syed Mehboob Shah said that he had demanded fool- proof security for Shahanis because the four are the close relatives of the alleged killers of Nawabzada Ali Nawaz Chandio.

Talking to this correspondent Shahani tribesmen said that they were incarcerated by the Chandios in a school in Gaibidero for nine days, when they had gone to Nawabs with the Holy Quran and womenfolk to beg pardon for being the relatives of Rajib and Dilmurad.

They said that again they were kept at a police station for three days and from there they were brought to the hospital.

They said women accompanied them were asked to return to their homes.

DPO Larkana Sultan Ali Khowaja said police had recovered the four from the possession of Chandios. He said following the request of the MS of the CMCH security at the ward had been mounted.

Dr Badar Junejo, in-charge of the department of psychiatry when contacted said that the four were not the patients of psychiatry but traumatized. Dr Junejo said they would be discharged from the hospital soon.
