KARACHI, Nov 12: Bilal Imran chalked up an emphatic 6-2, 6-3 victory over Nouman Aftab to cruise into boys under-13 singles final in the Sindh ranking tennis championship at Bath Island Tennis Club courts on Tuesday.

In another interesting match, top seed Hania Naveed survived a scare of being extended by beating former national hard court champion Seher Khawaja 6-1, 7-5 to enter last four in the ladies singles. Seher has appeared after a long layoff.

Meanwhile, sisters Neha Khan and Wania Khan also advanced into the semi-finals. The former carved out 6-3, 7-5 victory over Kainat Zulfiqar while the latter blanked Rania 6-0, 6-0 in the two first round matches played on Monday evening.

Qualifying rounds: Samia bt Amber Khan 6-2, 2-0 (retired).

First round: Hania Naveed bt Seher Khawaja 6-1, 7-5.

Juniors’ under-17 singles:

First round: Mohammad Dada bt Shahan Reki (walkover)

Under-13 singles:

Quarter-finals: Mohammad Dada bt Rayyan Jawwad 6-0, 7-5.

Semi-final: Bilal Imran bt Nouman Aftab 6-2, 6-3.

Under-9 singles:

Round Robin: Rahim Veqaar bt Hamadanul Aziz 8-3.
