Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar is observed around the world for ten days of mourning in remembrance of martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed (P.B.U.H), during the battle of Karbala in Iraq 680 AD.

A bit too late isn't it? Where were the "Shia" when Imam Hussein (May Allah have mercy on him) really needed them?
These disgusting displays of self-flagellation need to be banned. They are a disgrace to Pakistan and all educated and decent Muslims living all over the world.
