KARACHI, Nov 23: The Parco fifth Roshan Khan junior open squash, carrying a lucrative purse of US $ 11,000, begins at the PN Roshan-Jahangir squash complex on Sunday.

According to the details, the organisers have received an encouraging response which is evident from 269 entries — 227 boys and 42 girls — across the country.

The event which is registered with the Asian Squash Federation (ASF) as junior super series and World Squash Federation (WSF) world junior circuit will be played in boys U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, and U-19 and girls U-11, U-15, U-17, and U-19 categories.

It concludes on Nov 28.

Following are the seedings:

Boys under-19: 1-Tayyab Aslam (Punjab), 2-Ahsan Ayaz (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 3-Abbas Shoukat (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 4-Zeeshan Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).

Boys under-17: 1- Ali Karamat (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 2-Mehran Javed (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 3-Iqtidar Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 4-Kashif Asif (Punjab).

Boys under-15: 1-M. Faizan Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 2-Abbas Zeb (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 3-Zeeshan Javed (Army), 4-Zeeshan Gul (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).

Boys under-13: 1-Haris Qasim (Punjab), 2-Zeeshan Malik (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 3-Khizar Hayat (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 4-Mavia Hussain (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).

Boys under-11: 1-Asad Ullah (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 2-Afaq Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 3-Huzaifa Ibrahim (Sindh), 4-Malik Abdul Moiz (Punjab).

Boys under-9: 1- M. Ammad (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 2-Shahmeer Ashraf (Sindh), 3-Hammad Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), 4-Uzair Ahmed (Sindh).

Girls under-19: 1-Amna Latif (Punjab), 2-Sadia Gul (Wapda), 3-Faiza Zafar (Sindh), 4-Javeria Khan (Sindh).

Girls under-17: 1-Madina Zafar (Sindh), 2-Meyral Shaikh (Sindh), 3- Tahreema Islam (Sindh), 4-Nimra Shahid (Punjab).

Girls under-15: 1- Noor Ul Ain (Punjab), 2-Aiman Shahbaz (Punjab), 3- Noorul Huda (Sindh), 4-Ilsa Imran (Sindh).
