LAHORE, Nov 23: Seven matches were decided in the men’s and boys’ U-14 singles events on the first day of the first Nike Open tennis tournament at the Bagh-i-Jinnah course here on Saturday.

The girls’ under-18 event will also start on Sunday. The first round matches comprising one-off set, while the second round matches will be three setters.

Men’s singles: Faizan Khurram bt Ahmad Anwar 8-1; Sikandar bt Adnan Amir 8-0; Saif Ali bt Hafiz Arbab 8-4; M. Ahmad bt Usama Waheed 8-6.

Boys’ U-14: Ahmad Saeed bt Ahmad Mauz 8-3; Nalain bt Qaiser 8-0; Hamza bin Rehan bt Sameer Saeed 8-2.—Sports Reporter
