Welcome to the world's largest "democracy" - Indian style. Yasin Malik was possibly being monitored by Indian intelligence services, who decided to harass him a bit and got the hotel management to kick him out at night time. I wonder if any Indian MP will speak out against this as regardless of Malik's political affiliations he is an Indian citizen and his rights. if non-Hindu Indians have any, were violated.

The action by the Hotel is highly condemnable. Mr Malik should sue the Hotel in a Delhi Court. Indian laws are strong enough to penalize such arbitrary & discriminatory actions by the Hotel Administration.

Yes, I agree with Yasin Malik. If Indians hate has reached at this level than why not they throw away all the Kashmiri leaders and People from Kashmir into Indian Occasion. But even than the people Of Kashmir will not forgive their right for self determination.

What kind of idiotic argument Mr. Malik is putting?? Instead of bringing Government in this issue, he should have asked the hotel management about the issue...Also, the report never says that he was "thrown out" due to his political views...Instead of getting excited and reporting without proper knowledge, news papers should ask question to the hotel management...Anyway, if he feels that he has been insulted or his rights have been breached, Police stations, consumer forums and civil courts are there in Delhi

Very shameful. Selective democracy will hurt India all the more. The peoples movement in Kashmir is a reality that cannot be denied indefinitely. Solution of Kashmir problems can solve many international issues.

It is not like that and Mr.Malik is lying. The hotel room rent is not paid either by him or his friends who booked for them. If Delhi objects his stay there, how they allowed him to stay in his friends house in the same Delhi.

This is one side of the incident and that is also poorly reported. Mr. Malik didn't gave the reason why he has been escorted out of the hotel?? This is called YELLOW journalism. One should get the otherside of the story before making any statement. He is not a Big figure that Indian government can be thretened. Also one should ask him how many times he visited before and how was the reaction. He should have registered the complaint to the police station or he can approach the court of the country with his complaint. This guy is not doing any good to his people in Kasmir.

Proves that indian NGO's and human right activists are myopic. Human rights to them only means Hindu rights.

And this is happening in the so called worlds largest democracy. The hotel management should at least had the decency to let Mr Malik and his family wait in the hotel lobby until his friends showed up.There is no indication in the report which says that Mr Malik did not pay the bill, it is not possible that he would check in without the bill money in his pocket, even if he did not have the money somebody would have paid it for him, the management`s attitude was inhuman with a 18 month old baby around it was also humiliating which gives rise to anti India feeling among the Kashmir population.

@noor: You are right. India has separate law for minorities which includes Muslims governing marriage, inheritance etc. This is because they did not want to be governed under a unified civil code. You may please google for more information. Let me tell you India takes 100% more care of its minorities than her neighbor. For your information, a good percentage of seats in colleges, jobs in Government are reserved for minorities in India which include Muslims. You may talk about riots in India - agreed, there have been few. But, I firmly believe that a thumbing majority of this country (including Hindus and Muslims) are highly secular and will uphold the secular tradition alive, come what may. This has been predominantly because of the beliefs and value systems on which the constitution of this country has been framed. Also, at this point, I would like to emphasize on the role of education and school curriculum which has instilled these values among the citizens.

Just one question , why is this news published in a pakistani news paper? is it a global (international news)? it is an internal issue of India, why Pakistan so concerned ?

No body knows the other part of the story. If Yasin Malik story is true, he dont even have to go to the court. Police and court will take the suo moto notice and put the hotel management behind bar. This would have even been done as we speak. This is the power of democracy in india. And believe me everybody knows about Yasin Malik, he is blaber just like your Zaid Hamid and no body cares about him. He just have to ask to seek the police help and all the guilty people will be behind bars and if the story is other side he could also go behind bar.. and he knows it very well. His political image and influence is too small to be cared by indian government. These are the people due to which no body takes Kashmiri movement seriously in India.

India is not a secular country and people there don't have secular mind and temperament, See religious fundamentalist parties are popular and winning elections in India. Killer of thousands of minority members in Gujrat is going to be next Prime Minister of India. I advise Pakistan politicians to declare Pakistan secular and go on doing any thing under this cover. There is no difference between India and Pakistan.
