Irish actor Peter O'Toole, the star of the 1962 Oscar-winning epic "Lawrence of Arabia," passed away after a long battle with illness at the age of 81 on December 14, 2013. The news of his death was broken to the press by his agent Steve Kenis.

I am very saddened indeed of such a magnificent actor. A loss of a great actor. A truly commanding screen presence along with magisterial acting; unlike modern actors and films.
