KARACHI: There were mixed fortunes for Hyderabad players as two of them surged into the third round of the 22nd Sindh Cup Snooker at a local parlour on Friday.

The two who crossed yet another hurdle include Junaid Sheikh and Taufiq Memon as their three colleagues Mani Memon, Bilal Pandhiani and Umer Memon were eliminated in the second round.

Junaid inflicted 57-42, 57-15, 68-60 defeat on Arif Khan while Taufiq trounced Khurram Memon 59-16, 41-34, 66-54. Of the 192 who entered in the contest barring top 16 players, 64 were eliminated in the first round leaving 128 in fray.
