KHAIRPUR, June 22: A head constable of the Babarloi police, Shamsuddin Larik, was run over and killed by a coach on the National Highway on Saturday night.

The police were stopping passenger vehicles to arrange a convoy but the driver of the coach (8997), going from Bannu to Karachi, did not stop and run over the police official.

He was shifted to the civil hospital here in a serious condition where he died. The body was sent to his native village, Ahmedpur.

Coach driver, Meeraz Ali Khan, resident of Quetta was taken into custody and the vehicle impounded.
