PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah has summoned the provincial assembly session at 3:00pm on Monday, said a handout. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPA-elect from Dera Ismail Khan Sardar Ikramullah Khan Gandapur is likely to take oath in the coming session. He was elected after his brother former minister Sardar Israrullah Gandapur was killed in a suicide attack.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has de-notified 13 parliamentary secretaries with immediate effect, said a handout. They included Javed Nasim, Mehmood Jan, Arbab Jehandad, Mohammad Idrees, Arshad Ali, Mohammad Arif, Zahid Durrani, Gohar Nawaz, Javed Akbar, Azizullah Khan, Naseem Hayat, Bibi Fozia and Khatoon Bibi.

The chief minister had earlier appointed 32 treasury MPAs as parliamentary secretaries. Six parliamentary secretaries had already resigned, including three from Qaumi Watan Party.

Sources said that Speaker Asad Qaisar had sent a letter to the CM, asking him to de-notify appointment of certain parliamentary secretaries to pave way for standing committees’ formation.
