UMERKOT: Five bodies were found missing from their graves when a group of Meghwar community members visited its graveyard near Rohalwai in Umerekot on Friday.

The matter was reported to the area police, who guessed that people exercising magic/exorcism might have been involved in such ‘theft’.

Thano Meghwar, whose minor son was buried in the graveyard only on Wednesday, told the police that he visited his son’s grave on Friday and found the body missing. He said he took a round of the graveyard, surrounded by thickly populated localities, and found five more bodies missing from their graves.

Police have set up a picket at the graveyard on a request made by the Meghwar community and initiated an inquiry.
