Most orthodox believers celebrate Christmas according to the Julian Calendar on January 7, due to the fact that the orthodox Church never switched to the Gregorian Calendar, that was adopted elsewhere in Christendom in 1582. As with every year orthodox Christians gathered within their respective countries to celebrate Christmas this Tuesday.
