THATTA: Syed Tauseef Haider Shah, a youth born in the tiny town of Buhara, located in the coastal district of Thatta, has developed a single-engine ultra-light aircraft and is desperately waiting for permission from the aviation authority to fly it.

The youth, who is an aeronautical and hydro energy professional and visited several countries recently, says that the two-seater aircraft weighs about 300 kilograms and can be used for various purposes like aerial spray on crops.

The 17.5-ft wide and 7-ft high aircraft is currently parked outside Mr Shah’s shop of solar energy lights and appliances.

It has been attracting scores of passers-by all the day since the young man has put it on display.
