IG Sindh orders stern action against those behind attack on Aslam

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Shahid Nadeem Baloch, on Saturday visited the site of the suicide bomb attack that killed SP CID Chaudhy Aslam and two policemen.

Shahid Nadeem was accompanied by Additional IG CID Iqbal Mehmood, Additional IG Karachi Shahid Hayat, DIG CID Zafar Abbas Bukhari, SP CID Raja Umar Khattab, SP Investigation Niaz Khoso and other CID officials during his visit.

IG Sindh directed the investigative teams of police to take stern action against those behind the attack.

He said a strict crackdown should be launched against terrorist elements in order to let them know that police morale would not come down with such cowardly attacks.

Shahid Nadeem directed officials to keep an eye on suspects travelling in or out of the city in order to arrest perpetrators and planners of the attack.
