CHITRAL: Sixty personnel were on Saturday inducted into the Chitral Scouts after a passing out parade at the completion of a nine-month training. Commandant Chitral Scouts, Colonel Naeem Iqbal took salute of the march past held in Drosh cantonment.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the force had a glorious history both in war and peace and its jawans had proved their mettle.
He said the war on terror had added to the responsibilities of Chitral scouts while defending the long and porous border with Afghanistan. “The jawans have successfully warded off the intruders from the neighbouring Afghan area,” he said.
He asked the new entrants to the force to fully concentrate on their professional grooming.
