DADU, June 24: The Sindh secretary for health on Monday issued show-cause notices to three doctors of the Dadu Civil Hospital for remaining absent from their duties and non-cooperation with the hospital administration.
The doctors have been asked to submit their replies in 14 days.
The civil surgeon of the civil hospital, Dr Jawaid Ahmad Dawach, had sent a report to health secretary Ashiq Hussain Memon against orthopaedic surgeon Dr Atiq Anwar, ENT specialist Dr Deedar Ali Sangha and senior medical officer Dr Mohammad Ashraf Misrani.
The report said Dr Anwar remained absent from his duty since December 2001, Dr Sangha remained absent since March 2001 and Dr Misrani was irregular.
ARRESTED: Eleven landlords were arrested by the forest officials on Sunday on charges of occupying 300 acres of land in the Budhapur, Unarpur and Kondah forests of the district.
A special team of the forest department raided at different places of Kondah, Budhapur and Unarpur forests and found that some landlords were cutting trees and had occupied 300 acres of forest land. The team arrested eleven of them on the spot and fined them.
