Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohri sect of Islam, passed away on Friday, January 17. Members of the Dawoodi Bohri community gathered in a procession to pay their respects outside the Syedna Qutbuddin Shahid RA Roza, in Mumbai. Tragically 18 people were killed when a stampede erupted during the procession.
