LANDI KOTAL: Pakistan Muslim League-N leader and prime minister’s youth wing central coordinator Marvi Memon has said introducing loan scheme in Fata will benefit thousands of jobless youth, including tribal women.

She was speaking at a meeting of tribal elders, youth wing designators and provincial PML-N leaders in Jamrud on Saturday after inaugurating the prime Minister’s youth loan scheme.

She said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had directed his team to initiate small and mega developmental schemes in Fata. She said gone were the days when tribal women had no role in development and peace building. She urged the tribal people, especially women, to avail the opportunity of loan and contribute to the region’s development.

“Taking into consideration the situation in Fata, 50 per cent of quota in the loan scheme is allocated for tribal women so they could come forward as healthy and active citizens,” said Ms Marvi.

She said PML-led government wanted to restore lasting peace and prosperity to the country.
