PESHAWAR: Around 200 unemployed youth belonging to refugee-hosting areas were provided kits and certificates after completion of their training in different trades on Thursday.

The training programme was organised by Sarhad Rural Support Programme under Unesco and Raha-II project. The youth from Sufaid Dheri, University Town, Malakand, Peshawar and Jamrud and Landi Kotal tehsils were provided training.

Minister for youth affairs Mehmood Khan, Unesco’s Asia and Pacific region director Gwanj-jo Kim and country director Dr Kozu Kay Nagata, and government officials attended the ceremony. The minister said that the Unesco-SRSP efforts were encouraging and the government would support all such initiatives.
